Our Team

Aaron joined Resource in 1998 and has been active in all aspects of its operations. He became a principal in the firm in January 2002. He is a CFA charter holder and a CFA Institute member. Aaron graduated with honors from Wheaton College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics.  

Byron joined Resource in 2006. From 2003 until 2006, Byron was an associate at Cochran Caronia Waller, a Chicago-based boutique investment bank, where he worked with insurance industry clients to execute mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, as well as public and private financings. He began his professional career at KPMG, LLP in Chicago, as an associate in the assurance department. Byron graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accountancy.

Joe founded Resource in 1998 after ten years of making personal investments in resource real estate in the Northwest. Resource's philosophy on risk management was developed on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where Mr. Leininger spent ten successful years as an independent trader in the Eurodollar Option pit. He authored a book about his trading experiences entitled Lessons from the Pit (Broadman & Holman, 1999). Mr. Leininger graduated from the University of Illinois in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics.

Jim joined Resource in 2000. From 1990 to 2000, he acted as one of the founding partners of TGV Partners, an investment firm specializing in leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations. During that time, TGV assembled $144MM to invest in seven companies. Previously, he had been a principal in the Los Angeles law firm of Riordan & McKinzie. Mr. Geisz received a B.A. from Harvard College in 1974 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1978.

John joined Resource in 2017. Previously, John worked as an investment banking associate at SLATE Partners, a Denver-based middle-market investment banking firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to SLATE Partners, John was an analyst with Shell Energy North America, where he worked in the Power and Natural Gas Risk Control Group. John earned his B.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Colorado.

Morgan joined Resource in November 2021. Prior to joining RLH, Morgan worked for ConocoPhillips as a joint venture accountant. In the joint venture group, Morgan was responsible for ensuring costs were paid on time and worked with the financial planning groups to make certain projects were within budget. Morgan graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.

Denver joined Resource in October 2022. Prior to joining Resource, Denver worked as an investment analyst at a Colorado-based long/short equity hedge fund. In this role, Denver covered the materials, industrials, and energy sectors, where he worked with the investment team to identify investment opportunities through fundamental qualitative and quantitative research. Denver graduated from Bentley University with a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

Paul joined Resource in 2005. From 2002 to 2005, Paul was the Controller at Griffis / Blessing Inc., Colorado Springs’ largest real estate firm. From 1994 to 2002, Paul was the Controller for the Lane Affiliated Companies, a multi-state Pepsi-Cola Company franchise. He began his professional career at Deloitte and Touche as a Tax Accountant in Colorado Springs. Paul graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Additionally, Paul graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Public Accountancy.

Robin joined Resource in 2013. Previously, Robin was a Contract Real Estate Attorney at CoBank, a $101B cooperative bank located just outside of Denver. Prior to joining CoBank, Robin worked as a Contract Quality Assurance Analyst at Promontory Financial Group. Prior to Promontory Financial Group, Robin worked as Claims Counsel at Stewart Title Guaranty Company. Previously, she worked for Edgemark Development as an Acquisitions Manager and at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, as an Associate. Robin earned her J.D. at the University of Denver and a B.A. in Political Science from Southern Methodist University.
